This interactive session will focus on the role of HR and their ability to be champions of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. By taking a look at the direct skills needed to facilitate difficult conversations as well as the influencing skills to impact DE&I decisions, HR professionals can further understand how their personal actions can influence others. The session also looks at different scenarios in recruitment and hiring, employee development, and more to further understand diversity from an HR lens.

Ranya Brooks is the Training Solutions Practice Lead at IBIS Consulting Group. Beginning her career as a classroom teacher, Ranya has been working in the education and adult learning sector for almost a decade. She is an experienced educator, facilitator, and curriculum and instructional designer.

Ranya has led the design, development, and implementation of DEI audits and training programs across varied platforms. She holds a B.A. in Classical Studies and Human Development & Education from Dartmouth College and an Ed.M. in International Education Policy from Harvard Graduate School of Education. She is currently a Neubauer Civic Scholar at the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business where she is pursuing an MBA with concentrations in strategic management, behavioral science, and economics.
