From Reactive to Aligned Responsiveness: Leadership in times of External Change
With so many external factors influencing the present day workplace and the future of work, your organization may feel a little reactive lately, responding to every external trend, shift and socio-political dynamic. The onus of interpreting these changes into actionable policies, procedures or projects often falls in the lap of HR professionals as the default go-to for all things that impact employees. However operating from a space of constant reactivity is a key source of burnout for HR teams and their leaders. While being dialed into the changing world is a good thing, without one key organizational component organizations become reactive instead of responsive and they lose their identity in exchange for the flavor du jour. It’s almost impossible for HR teams to thrive in these types of environments.

In this interactive keynote we will discuss the importance of this key organizational component (it may not be what you think), unpack it’s presence or absence in your organization and learn how to use it as an effective tool to manage during times of change. We will also learn techniques to interrupt stress induced reactivity and bring our pre-frontal cortex back on track to make more judicious decisions. We want to replace a permanent stance of HR resilience (constantly having to recover from workplace stress) with decisive, aligned and intuitive responsiveness.
