  • Project Management for HR: Managing Projects Virtually

Contains 3 Component(s) Includes a Live Web Event on 04/13/2021 at 9:00 AM (EDT)

Human resource (HR) professionals - regardless of their specific role and responsibilities within the organization - have a variety of projects to be completed on a regular basis, some of which are strategic and will have an impact throughout the entire organization. And, in today’s reality, many of these projects will be done virtually; adding to the complexity of bringing complex initiatives to a successful outcome. These initiatives should keep moving forward for the benefit of the employees. This virtual program - specifically developed for HR professionals - provides a simple process for day-to-day management of HR initiatives, regardless of their size and impact within the business, and whether virtually or in a co-located environment. A HR-related case study is used to apply the concepts being learned in the workshop. In addition, numerous mini case studies and discussions topics are threaded throughout the full day virtual workshop, providing participants opportunities to begin to apply what they learn in small group breakout sessions. All participants will be provided a detailed PDF participant guide for use in the virtual session as well as back on the job. Participants will also receive a number of templates to enable them to more effectively plan and manage virtual initiatives.

  • Adapting Your Leadership Style to Manage Remote Teams

Contains 3 Component(s) Includes a Live Web Event on 06/10/2021 at 9:00 AM (EDT)

We all have our preferred style of leading others. However, that preferred style doesn’t work for all our direct reports/team members and has to be adapted in order to more effectively lead others. And, to complicate matters, how we lead, engage, and motivate our teams will need to be adapted further in today’s virtual workplace. How we manage one of our team members may be vastly different than how we need to manage another. We want to adapt how we lead our teams based on what they need from us to be successful in the workplace. This virtual program provides HR leaders at all levels with best practices to engage and motivate remote team members, with a focus on adapting their leadership style to more effectively lead their teams. In addition to discussing the variety of leadership styles available and how to adapt your style to engage others, this workshop will also focus on key leadership competencies necessary for leading your remote teams. Prior to the virtual session, participants will receive two mini-assessments to complete: Conflict Management Styles and Communication Styles. The results of these mini-assessments should be available during the virtual session for use in breakout room discussions.
